The Kuster FTS Flow Through
Sampler is 1.5” (38mm) in diameter
with a sample chamber volume of 600CC.
When the FTS Sampler is lowered in to
the well, two spring-loaded valves, one
at each end of the sample chamber, are
held open by an internal latching mechanism.
At the desired depth, a mechanical clock
that is programmed on the surface for
the desired closing time closes the valves.
With both valves closed, the sample is
contained and can be removed from the
well for analysis.
The Kuster FTS Flow Through Sampler allows
well fluids to continually pass through
the sample chamber as it is lowered into
the well. By doing so, it ensures that
the sample chamber is filled with only
the fluids and gases from the desired
depth.
